Why this site exists
Almost every 3D printer recommendation you can find online is written for a US audience. Prices are in dollars, the machines listed are frequently not sold here, and delivery, warranty and support all work differently once a printer has to cross a border.
3D Print Picks covers the UK market specifically: pounds sterling, UK stock, UK warranty terms. If a printer is not realistically buyable here, it does not go in a guide, however good it is.
Who this is for
People spending their own money on their first printer, or their next one. Hobbyists printing miniatures and cosplay props, parents buying for a curious teenager, engineers who need functional parts, and small businesses working out whether a printer pays for itself.
We assume you are clever but new to this. Jargon gets explained the first time it appears, and we try never to use a specification as a substitute for an explanation.
